Pelham beach is situated at the heart of the town of Hastings, so nearby shops are never far away. The beach is primarily laid to shingle and like many UK beaches has lots of Groynes to support the coastline.
Hastings Pier dates back to the victorian era having been built in 1872 however has been subject of much reconstruction and improvements in recent years having recently been opened again in 2016.
Deck chairs are available for hire and beach patrols cover the area in season (May to September). Dogs are banned from the beach between the pier and the harbour arm.
