Walk Chartham to Canterbury along the Great River Stour.
Chartham is a small picturesque village situated on the outskirts of Canterbury.
The River stour runs for miles through Chartham and around 4 miles east in Canterbury town centre.
The walk is along the National Cycle Network Route 18 and is well sign posted. The walk itself is mainly along concrete paths running along the side of the river with some grass, mud footpath areas. It is mainly flat with only a few gates and styles.
The walk itself from Chartham to Canterbury and return is around 6-7 miles and will take around 2.5 hours but the scenery make this a ‘must’ for those walking enthusiasts.
